Day 1 – Goa (Arrival) Your Goa trip starts after arriving at Dabolim Airport. You will be welcomed by our representative and escorted to the resort. After completing the check-in formalities, it’s time to relax. The evening is free to enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beach and admire the majestic sight of the setting sun. You will be staying overnight at the resort.
Day 2 – North Goa
Start the day with a delicious breakfast. Today you will be going for the Goa city tour. Enjoy a scenic drive to North Goa which is the hub for flamboyant parties and flea markets. This region is enriched with a number of idyllic beaches which is as picturesque as you can imagine. Some of the most popular sea beaches are Baga, Calangute, Anjuna, Arambol and so on. Apart from beaches, there are other attractions such as the Chapora Fort, Aguada Fort, Basilica of Bom Jesus and many more.
Your Goa travel will start with exploring the wonderful spots of North Goa. Visit the Old City that served as the Portuguese capital from the 16th to the 18th century. Appreciate the beauty of the much revered Basilica of Bom Jesus, dedicated to Lord Jesus. It is one of the finest examples of Baroque style architecture. This church holds the remains of Saint Francis Xavier’s, the man behind the Society of Jesus. You will also get the opportunity to witness the exemplary architecture of a few other churches which include the Se Cathedral, Church of St. Monica and St. Francis of Assisi. These incredible churches unravel the authentic culture and depict the magnificence of Goa during olden times.
Visit the exclusive Museum of Christian Art that exudes aristocratic opulence. It is one of a kind and flaunts an extensive collection of unique Christian art. The exhibits display precious stones, metals, furniture, ivory statues, textiles, sculptures and so on. Next, you will be getting a closer look at the Archaeological Museum that houses charming artifacts belonging to the Portuguese era. Solar Souto Maior is another important place to visit in Goa in 4 days. It is the oldest surviving heritage house in Goa that is registered under UNESCO. The 16th-century palatial mansion is a treasure trove of unique artifacts.
Finally, drive back to Goa’s capital Panjim and soak up the true essence of Goa in its colonial architecture. It’s time to wander around the city and get teleported to the ancient period. Make sure to scour the vibrant markets and buy souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones. Grab a mouthwatering lunch at Panjim before heading to the Baga Beach, one of the packed tourist spot in Goa. The rest of the time is free to enjoy your Goa trip. Engage in a water sport or shop from the Tibetan Market, it all depends on you. The second day of your 4 days Goa trip finally ends after returning to the resort.
Day 3 – South Goa
After grabbing your breakfast, get ready and drive towards South Goa. The sightseeing begins with exploring Margao, the cultural and commercial capital of Goa. You will be visiting the heavenly Colva Beach, Santa Durga Temple, Mangeshi Temple, Largo de Igreja and other well-known spots.
Largo de Igreja is an absolutely beautiful place that you will be visiting during your tour to Goa. It is the Margoa Church Square. The area flaunts the Church of the Holy Spirit and several breathtaking ancient buildings. The church is one of the oldest in the region that was built in the 16th century. The splendid architecture and the elegant craftsmanship will ignite your imagination and take you back in time.
Later you will be heading to Ancestral Goa, a unique museum located at Loutolim, 10 kilometers from Margao. Here you can witness an art gallery and a handicraft center offering locally made artifacts. The main highlight of this museum is the gigantic sculpture of Sant Mirabai, a great devotee of Lord Krishna. This 14-meters long statue is regarded as India’s longest laterite sculpture. Another attraction is the bigfoot, a massive footprint that was discovered when the site was excavated.
Your Goa trip package is incomplete without visiting the Menezes Braganza mansion. It is a 17th-century palatial heritage house located in the village of Chandor. It is one of the most exquisite mansions that boast a museum filled with period furniture, crystals, paintings and other antique treasures. This mansion has two wings with 24 windows, the East and the West Wing.
The East Wing is owned by one set of the Pereira Braganza family descendants and it is alluring in its own way. The East Wing features a huge ballroom and a family chapel that has carefully preserved a relic of St. Francis Xavier. The West Wing belongs to another set of the family descendants and looks more exquisite. It houses an extensive library of Luis de Menezes Braganza, a popular journalist who played an integral role in Goa’s Freedom Movement.
After a long sightseeing tour, it’s time to get back to the resort and rest for the day.
Day 4 – Goa (Departure)
Finally, you have reached the last day of your 4 days Goa itinerary. After indulging in a lip-smacking breakfast, it’s time to check-out of the resort and drive back to the airport. The tour ends with a wonderful experience and endless memories.
