Designed for easy transportation, the Trekking hatchet’s compact length makes it easily transportable either in a rucksack or comfortably attaching to a belt loop. A comfortable and balanced (in hand) contoured handle provides the user comfort whilst in use. Perfect for splitting and chopping firewood. If the user places their hand behind the axe head, it fulfils a variety of detailed and intricate tasks such as carving shavings, sharpening sticks or making feathersticks.

Bison 1879® is a return to the Master Blacksmith’s art of hand forging traditional axes of the highest quality, using traditional designs and only the highest quality German Steel hardened to HRC51-56.
