Original German Pre-WWII NSBO National Socialist Factory Cell Organization EM/NCO Belt BuckleThis is a very nice Pre WWII German NSBO National Socialist Factory Cell Organization EM NCO Belt Buckle (Koppelschlo). It is a nice all brass construction box buckle with a smooth background. The front of the buckle has an attached NSBO Logo face plate, which features an embossed NSBO cog with a swas marked hammer clenched in a fist. It has a half laurel, half oak leaf border with letters N. S. B. O. at the top. The buckle is in good condition, but

It has a half laurel, half oak leaf border with letters N.S.B.O. at the top. The buckle is in good condition, but missing the attachment device. The face plate at one point was plated, but that has mostly worn through. There is no maker mark on the buckle, but these were produced in small numbers before the war, so that is typical.
Overall a very nice example of a hard to find WWII German Belt buckle, ready to add to your collection!
The RBA, "Reichsbetriebszellenabteilung" (National-factory-cells-department), was founded in January of 1931 and was renamed the NSBO, "Nationalsozialische Betriebszellen Organization" (National-socialist Industrial-cells Organization), in March of that year. This organization acted as the NSDAP's alternative to labor unions and communist worker groups in industrial factories. Officially a national organization, the NSBO was concentrated in the heavy industrial centers, with very little representation outside these areas. After all non-NSDAP trade unions were outlawed by decree on 2 May 1933, the NSBO became the only official workers' organization in Germany.
This moment of glory, however, was short, for the German Labour Front (DAF) was established a few days later. More organized and better represented at national level, the DAF ended up absorbing the NSBO in 1934, and in March 1935 it ceased to exist.
