Large Regence style faux malachite clock on stand, with bronze dore mounts, having figural finial, above shaped case with central charioteer flanked by protruding horses, gilt dial with Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement, upper case resting on seated horse supports, further raised on conforming stand, with cabriole legs and bun feet, accompanied by pendulum, observed operating, starts and stops, apparently wound tight, approx 86.5"h, 34"w, 21"d
Condition
The clock was observed operating but it starts and stops after several minutes, it is quite difficult to wind, indicating that it may be nearly fully-wound or wound tight, it is accompanied by a well-fitting pendulum and key, the movement is marked with Chinese characters, as with all of our clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional adjustment and a thorough cleaning of the movement.
