The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 21.8 SEER2 5 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9K + 9K + 9K + 9K + 9K units are super easy to install and require no special training or expensive specialty tools. The DIY system includes Quick Connect lines that are pre-charged with eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant. Due to the Quick Connect line set, you don’t have to hire an HVAC technician to complete the install. We also have simple video instructions on how to install a DIY Multi-Zone unit yourself!

The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 21.8 SEER2 5 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9K + 9K + 9K + 9K + 9K can cool through the Summer, heat through the Winter, and dehumidify through the wet seasons. Plus, you can quickly check the temperature of each room in your home from the easy to read digital display or from the MRCOOL Smart Controller mobile app. The display on the front of each indoor air handler unit can also display troubleshooting codes and alerts, so you are always aware of any issues with your system. Operate each unit wirelessly with either the included remote or with the MRCOOL Smart Controller app for Apple or Android devices. You also have the ability to control your mini-split unit with Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

The five MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone air handlers included in this set provide directional control of the heated or cooled air. This distributes the air evenly so everyone in the room can stay comfortable. If you are in a situation that requires forced cooling, you can set your MRCOOL DIY System to manual with the button located on the right side of the unit under the front panel. In this emergency operation mode, you can test the cooling operation of your unit after installation or to complete a maintenance task.

In auto mode, each unit provides air for your home at your desired comfort level. Set your desired temperature, and the HVAC unit will determine how much heat or air conditioning is needed. You can also set this system to a drying function, which will continue to control the space’s air temperature while dehumidifying.

Use the sleep mode at night to save money on your utilities bills and use less energy. Sleep mode operates in an 8 hour window once turned on.

Limit your energy usage and save money on your utility bill by using the system’s timer function. If your system begins to run low on refrigerant, an alert will appear on the easy-to-read display on the front of each air handler, letting you know there may be a leak. If you desire to keep a room quiet and minimize lighted alerts, you can mute each indoor unit. By muting the system, the buzzer for alerts will not sound and the LED lit display will turn off. Should the unfortunate event of a power outage occur, the MrCool system will automatically shut off and then back on with the same settings once power returns.

Beyond worth it!

Before this, I used battery powered frothers and couldn’t keep up with replacing the batteries. As soon as the batteries began to lose their charge, the frothers weren’t powerful enough. Somehow, this doesn’t begin to lose its charge until the charge runs out. I’ve spent a fraction of the price buying this as I did on batteries. I got this in Aug 2024. It’s amazing and incredibly powerful. In a year, I charged it 3 times. If you don’t get the froth you’re looking for, I’d suggest you watch a video on how to froth correctly. I learned there’s a proper technique that really improves the outcome. It made a world of difference for me. The charge time advertised is not correct. It lasts much much much longer on one charge. After the charge died, I charged it for maybe an hour and then I used it to whisk thick body butter. When washing it, I got it too wet. The motor wouldn’t stop running, so I called it a loss and put it outside to let it run until it stopped. It ran for hours. Sometime during the night it shut off. The next day, I pressed the on button again and it ran the entire day. It has a warranty, but I never registered mine, so I don’t mind paying for a replacement since it is so inexpensive. I’m writing this review now because I liked it so much that I just purchased another one to replace it. I hope this helps. If you’re unsure: It is incredibly powerful, but has two speeds, so one will work for any frothing needs. The price is unbeatable, much less than you’ll spend on batteries. The charge lasts unbelievably long and stays just as powerful until the charge runs out. It is detachable, so washing it is really simple. Just wipe the top part.

See update below.* Second Update: I received the new version (FoodVille MF09), and really like it. It solves the variable speed problem. Three speeds are still available, however, each has its own on/off switch, so no more cycling through. It also comes with an additional hook attachment for mixing powders with liquid, as well as a charging stand. It is a few dollars more, but most definitely worth it! In addition to fixing the speed issue, they have included a charging dock. I've had this frother for a few months now. Overall, it works as well as my Aerolatte hand-held that died. I like that it is rechargeable, since I went through quite a lot of batteries before. My problem with this is the way you have to cycle through the speeds, rather than just selecting the one you want. This is a problem because sometimes I'll need to stop it before I'm finished and then when I resume it is on the next faster speed, which causes the milk to fly out of the glass before I can get back to the lower setting. I have ruined at least one shirt with stains from the flying milk. Also, because of where the on/off button is, and because of its sensitivity, I sometimes turn it off accidentally, which of course causes the milk to slosh everywhere getting back to the lower setting. I really wish you could just pick a speed, even if that means just a high and a low. I'm thinking of going back to a single speed frother. All but the lowest speed seems to be too strong to froth milk anyway. So, it works, it has good battery life, but cycling through the speeds has been a problem for me. I'll keep using it for now, but may be in the market for something different soon.
