Unlike your typical holiday album, Erasure purposely went with a "stripped-down" and "eerie" feel to many of the tracks. Vince Clarke stated, "Everything about Christmas has been written already. We thought it would be more interesting to look into the darker side of the season. For a lot of people, Christmas is not a happy time." The album was produced with longtime collaborator Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Wire). Snow Globe was preceded by the first single "Gaudete," a medieval Latin carol that was also a hit for Steeleye Span in 1973.

Works well if you wear them every day

These heel socks do work, but you need to be consistent and patient. The socks are soft with a gel lining on the inside that basically traps your body heat and moisture—kind of like a mini spa for your feet. My heels felt noticeably softer after just one hour of wearing them.
That said, I don’t love sleeping with socks on, so it took me two nights to get used to them. I even took them off the first night because I couldn’t stand the feeling. After five nights of use with nightly exfoliating, my heels are definitely softer, but still cracked in some areas. I’m hoping they keep improving with continued use.
If you stick with it and exfoliate regularly, these socks definitely help soften rough skin. Not a miracle fix overnight, but a helpful tool for healing cracked heels.
