A true connoisseur’s Cartier. This rare Tank Extra Plat in 18k yellow gold offers a fascinating alternative to the classic Tank Louis, combining an ultra-thin profile with the prestigious Frederic Piguet Calibre 21—one of the finest extra-flat movements ever made.
Originally sold by the Cartier Boutique in Rome on 4 December 1997, this watch comes as a complete full set with its original Cartier certificate, warranty card, paperwork, and red Cartier Paris presentation box.
The stunning original guilloché dial displays beautiful texture and depth, with only minor signs of age, complemented by blued steel hands and the iconic sapphire cabochon crown. Measuring 23 × 30 mm, the elegant case remains beautifully preserved with crisp hallmarks and strong original lines, while a light polish in the past has given it a fresh and attractive appearance.
Freshly serviced and running excellent, the watch is fitted with a handmade Belgian leather strap and its original Cartier vermeil pin buckle.
