The Promise Ring were formed in 1995 in Milwaukee by guitarist Jason Gnewikow, drummer Dan Didier and bassist Scott Beschta. The band was eventually rounded out by frontman Davey von Bohlen, who at the time was a new enlistee into Midwest darlings Cap'n Jazz but gave The Promise Ring their crucial missing piece. In 1996, the group signed with Jade Tree and released their debut, 30 Degrees Everywhere: a powerful introduction that distilled the spirit and vigor of some of the members' punk and hardcore backgrounds and spit-shined it with von Bohlen's tastefully angsty melodicism. But 30 Degrees Everywhere is deceptively complex, masked by layers of driving guitars and buoyant rhythms. It's also deceptively dark, as the singer's heart-on-sleeve lyrics - tackling love, loss, regret and disappointment - and emotive delivery were hallmarks of The Promise Ring's genre-leading sound. This raw emotion, along with an overall lack of Polish, ultimately gives the album an endearing personality. You won't find perfect performances here; rather, you're getting real songs about real life played by real people in real time. Boiled down, 30 Degrees Everywhere is the foundation of a musical legacy, a lightning-in-a-bottle musical moment that demands listeners pay attention to it's urgency and passion - in the end, what more could you ask for?

Perfect organizer

This organizer is cute and compact but has a place for every type of jewelry which is what I was looking for. Its not bulky and i love how the two inner sections pull away to reveal a pretty large storage section for larger or micellaneous items. Would recommend.

Large and Conveniently Versatile

This isn't quite what I was expecting but it is amazing. It is larger, sturdier, and heavier than what I expected. I emptied 4 other large decorative boxes of jewelry and relocated them into this. I cannot believe what it holds. The variety of drawer designes are perfect. There are ideal spaces for my chunky necklaces and bracelets. The side hooks are perfect for a multitude of light necklaces and chains. Love the top tray for a gazillion stud earrings. For the first time I have one location for my jewelry where I can actually see what is there without digging. It is a little too big for my dresser but the convenience is worth it. I got the black because it was the least expensive. It is a classy look. The color and design would suit a guy with lots of watches and bling or a gal with a variety of styles of jewely from chunky to light filigree. It is heavy even before loading it with jewelry. The drawers can easily be reconfigured with convenient criss cross dividers. All are nicely, lightly lined. It arrived well packaged with corner protectors. There was a bit of a smell but it was gone after airing it overnight in the bathroom.

Classic and roomy jewelry box in black

This jewelry box exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy, yet classic, and well organized; it sits nicely on top of a dresser. The compartments provide a lot of room for small to larger pieces, with plenty of hooks for necklaces and a variety of layouts in the drawers. The pulls are small enough so as not to overwhelm, yet clearly well thought out in design and use. I really recommend this jewelry box!
