Background
TUBA1B (tubulin alpha-1B chain) is a ubiquitously expressed cytoskeletal protein that polymerizes with beta-tubulin to form microtubules, thereby orchestrating mitotic spindle assembly, intracellular transport, cell shape and motility; its over-expression is frequently observed in multiple cancers where it drives proliferation, migration and invasion, correlates with advanced stage and poor survival, modulates innate and adaptive immune signaling, and predicts response to immune-checkpoint inhibition, making it an emerging prognostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target.
