The wing-like lens design with slitted trailing edges diffuses air to exit smoothly along the side of the lens. The brushes arrived in a zip bag, unsealed. The two clear brushes come in tubes. The yellow brush was in a sealed plastic bag. The bristles are soft but dense enough that they feel effective and not flimsy. The pricey ($9.99) is okay.
