The eight-strand braid is evolved from the four-strand braid, the threads are intertwined, mutual generation and restraint, and samsara rotation, symbolizing life's love and hatred, joy, anger, sorrow, and joy.
The eight-strand braid has 4 sides and 8 threads. Regarding the 4 sides, it is [Four Bodhisattvas]: Guanyin Bodhisattva, Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which respectively represent the four ideal personalities of compassion, wisdom, practice, and power.
