The Combined Filter for BOFA AD 350 Fume Extraction System contains both a HEPA filter stage as well as an advanced carbon filter stage. The webbed mini-pleat surface of the HEPA filter grabs any small particles, smoke, or fine dust that may have escaped the DeepPleat Pre-Filter so that the advanced carbon filter can efficiently absorb and eliminate any fumes or contaminants that remain before fresh, clean air is vented out. The HEPA filter boasts an efficiency of 99.997% at 0.3 microns, while the carbon filter includes several pounds of activated carbon. Both are combined into a single unit, which is recommended to be replaced every 12 to 18 months.
