Double LP version. 180 gram vinyl; gatefold sleeve. In 1975, the NDR established it's own festival to provide the then so called "New Jazz" with a home base in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, which was suffering slightly under the omnipresent and highly respected swing- and Dixieland traditionalists, who provided a cozy, but hardly innovative version of jazz. "Onkel Pö" was selected as a second venue of the "New Jazz" festival - the club which had established itself as a new home of jazz in Hamburg. Also, for the club the festival meant a substantial boost. Part of the 1975 festival program was a band founded by Dave Liebman and Richie Beirach some two years previously under the enigmatically beautiful name Lookout Farm. The first and universally acclaimed record was released on the German label ECM. Liebman, Beirach as well as bassist Frank Tusa and percussionist Jeff Williams were undoubtedly at the center of this vehement awakening of a newly liberated music; ostentatiously, at the Hamburg festival concert the quartet invoked themes and motives by John Coltrane, back then the visionary leader of everything new in the world of jazz.

Very good book

My son borrowed the book from local library, he kept reading and became very interested in physics. He asked me to buy one so he could read it anywhere anytime. We are very satisfied with this book.

Really great basic/intro to physi
Format: Paperback
Purchased as a birthday present for my very smart 14 year old grandson. The book gives simple discussions about most basic elements of physics. I’m hoping it is not too simple but not too complex. First look tells me I made a good choice. I may buy another one just to have around the house for other grand kids. I’ll give an update after he gets into it a bit.

Looks good so far!

I’m a high schooler who has ADHD and I needed resources to clarify the material I learned from my classes. I’m also a visual learner, and this is AMAZING for my mode of learning. I flipped through the book and I’m literally so hyped to get into it. The illustrations are so cool. Never have I felt this excited to actually learn. Thank you Barron’s! I really hope they make more books like these for all subjects.

Interesting and informative
Format: Paperback
Seller gave an honest evaluation on condition of the book and it was received several days earlier than promised. I took Physics in college but wanted a quick review of some of the principles. The illustrations are good and take the place of a Physics lab, helping the reader to visualize the subject being discussed. The reader will have to look for a high school book to go into more depth, but this is great for an introduction or review of the subject.
