Attach the metal base to the machine’s hoop mount, position stabilizer and fabric on the base, align/center using the grid template, then place the square magnet blocks around the design area. Run a trace if available. To re‑position, lift a magnet, adjust the material, and reseat the magnet—no full re‑hooping needed.
Can Thicker Textiles be secured without hoop marks?
Yes. The strong magnets and soft‑coated metal base hold heavier or layered materials with minimal marking. For seams, zippers, or uneven zones, shift or stack magnets near those areas to clamp more firmly while keeping the needle path clear.
When Using This frame, how should fabric tension be managed?
Avoid overstretching. Lay the fabric flat, smooth wrinkles, and let the magnets hold tension evenly. Pair with the right stabilizer (cut‑away for knits, tear‑away for wovens) and test‑stitch. If puckering appears, slightly loosen presser foot pressure or re‑position to re‑center/realign the textile.
How Stable Is stitching at higher speeds?
The magnets provide solid holding force for most fabrics. For bulky items or dense designs, reduce speed for best stitch quality. Keep magnets outside the needle path, verify clearance during a perimeter trace, and ensure the fabric is fully supported to minimize vibration or thread jumps.
