The Tripp Lite by Eaton 8-Port VGA over Cat5/6 Splitter/Extender is a robust, enterprise-grade solution designed to deliver crystal-clear VGA video and stereo audio across long distances with effortless installation. Built for classrooms, conference rooms, digital signage, control rooms, and retail environments, this box-style transmitter centralizes source connections and distributes to multiple displays with consistent signal integrity. With support for Cat5e/6 twisted-pair cabling, you can extend VGA signals far beyond the limits of traditional cable runs—up to 1000 feet (305 meters)—without sacrificing picture quality or audio clarity. The B132-008a-2 model, part of Eaton’s trusted Tripp Lite range, is designed to simplify complex multi-display setups while providing reliability, ease of maintenance, and a small footprint that integrates neatly into equipment racks or under desks. This device is TAA-compliant and backed by a 1-year limited warranty, making it a smart, compliant choice for professional AV deployments.

  • 8-port distribution capability: This is an innovative VGA over Cat5/6 splitter/extender setup that consolidates a single VGA source and scatters the signal to up to eight remote displays via Cat5e/6 cabling, enabling multi-screen viewing across rooms or corridors with a single transmitter.
  • Long-distance VGA with integrated audio: Extend both video and stereo audio over standard twisted-pair cables, reaching distances up to 1000 feet (305 meters). This makes it ideal for auditoriums, lecture halls, and digital signage deployments where line-of-sight distances would otherwise compromise signal quality.
  • Box-style transmitter design for easy installation: The compact, rugged transmitter is engineered for quick mounting and tidy cabling. Its box-style form factor keeps connections accessible and simplifies on-site assembly, maintenance, and future upgrades.
  • HD-ready VGA performance with clear audio: Expect sharp VGA video resolution capable of handling common high-definition VGA setups and compatible audio channels, providing synchronized visuals and sound across multiple displays without lag or sync issues.
  • Durable, compliant, and supported: This product is TAA-compliant and covered by a 1-year limited warranty, reflecting Eaton’s commitment to quality, compliance with procurement standards, and reliable post-purchase support for commercial environments.

How to Install Tripp Lite by Eaton 8-Port VGA over Cat5/6 Splitter/Extender

  • Plan your layout: Identify the VGA source location and map out the eight target display locations. Confirm the path for Cat5e/6 cabling to each remote receiver, noting any potential interference or distance constraints.
  • Connect the VGA source: Attach the host computer or video source’s VGA cable to the transmitter’s VGA input port. If you are using audio, connect the source’s stereo audio output to the transmitter’s audio input using a standard 3.5 mm stereo cable where available.
  • Run Cat5e/6 cables: Run twisted-pair Cat5e/6 cables from the transmitter to each receiver location. Use one Cat5e/6 cable per remote receiver to preserve signal integrity and simplify troubleshooting.
  • Connect remote displays: At each remote location, connect the corresponding Cat5e/6 cable to the appropriate receiver unit, then connect the receiver’s VGA output to the display’s VGA input. If the receiver supports audio, connect the display or audio device to the receiver’s audio output as required.
  • Power and test: Power on the transmitter and all receivers. Verify that each display shows the source image clearly and that audio is synchronized across all screens. If EDID or display timing adjustments are needed, use the transmitter’s controls (as provided by the model) to ensure proper compatibility with all connected displays.

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.

Epson SureColor F170 Sublimation Printer Rocks!
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
TI’m a newbie at sublimation, and this is my first sublimation printer. I love it! I can’t wait to make more things! I like that it’s not too large, but still can print up to 8.5x14”. The quality seems to be really good, but I also don’t have any other printer to compare it to. This was my very first project! I’m very happy with it so far!

Fits in a standard tape dispenser
Number of Items: 12
First of all, I like the width of this tape when I don't need the full width of standard 20mm. It's great for delicate projects and minimizing taping over two-sided sublimations like keychains. There's just enough adhesion and it comes off cleanly so it does the job. If you don't need the full width of 20mm, this is a great value. For those looking for a compatible dispenser, these rolls fit into a standard weighted Scotch tape base like the C-38. There will be room around the core because these rolls have a larger diameter, and room on either side because the rolls are thinner than standard Scotch tape, but once you pull the tape onto the blade, the roll remains taut and it's easy to remove pieces of your desired length with one hand.
