Linear-Drive throw off and butt plate
The TAMA Starphonic Copper snare drum's throw off prevents the "slap" of snare wires hitting the bottom head, allowing seamless transitions between tenored and active snare tones. The Linear-Drive system holds snare wires firmly and safely at a 30-degree angle and features a linear-motion strainer mechanism for precise snare tensioning. A matching butt plate completes the set.
Freedom lug and claw hook system
With TAMA's patented Freedom Lug and Claw Hook system, you can easily replace your heads by loosening the tension rods and tilting the claw hooks away from the Grooved Hoop. This saves you from removing all of the tension rods — a huge time saver.
