Accordionist, bandleader, composer and TV impresario Lawrence Welk was one of the most visible and popular personalities in easy-listening orchestral pop music through several decades spanning the pre- and post-war eras, with his high-profile TV series "The Lawrence Welk Show" running for three decades from 1951 into the early '80s. Performing what he christened early in his career as "Champagne Music", he transcended all the upheavals in the pop music landscape during these times to maintain a consistent appeal to the broad middle ground of popular music tastes so that he was able to take advantage of the introduction of the stereo long-playing albums during the 1950s and beyond. This great-value 56-track 2-CD set comprises selected A and B sides from his singles for Vocalion, Okeh, Decca, Mercury, Coral and Dot labels during the quarter-century from the late 30s right through to the early '60s, and features over 30 chart entries, including the No. 1 "Calcutta" and the Top 10 hits "I Won't Tell A Soul", "The Moon Is A Silver Dollar", "Don't Sweetheart Me" and "Oh Happy Day". It covers a remarkable range of styles, including vocal hits from the early part of his career in the 'sweet' dance band style of the war years, along with examples of his trademark polka tunes featuring his distinctive accordion sound, through to easy listening orchestral pop recordings during the 1950s. It's an entertaining cross-section of his work, underlining his skill in refining his style to stay in touch with an evolving market to stay firmly in the public eye

Nice shirt, could be more "slim fit" in LG size...
Fit Type: Slim Fit, Color: White, Size: X-Large
This is a very nice shirt, good quality, reasonable cost. I am 6'-3", 190 lbs. ,33" waist, 44 chest, a slim (not so young anymore) athletic build:)
The Medium size was a good chest & waist fit for a slim fit look, but the arms were too short. I had to go with a Large size for the sleeve length. With the Large size, the chest is good, but the waist is a too loose for me to be a "slim fit". I am keeping the shirt anyway, it's very comfortable with soft & thick material.

Great price with good quality - Just be prepared to iron it.
Fit Type: Slim Fit, Color: Grey, Size: X-Large
Nice shirt, especially for the price. You will need to iron it to get the wrinkles out, as I have a professional steamer, and it still looks unfinished even when using it.
If you iron and starch it, it will look very nice, and it does not wrinkle as badly as I thought it would.
The fit is perfect, and the softness, color, and feel are nice as well. This shirt can go from casual to dress right out of the closet (ironed, of course).

Count on shrinkage when choosing your size.
Fit Type: Slim Fit, Color: White, Size: X-Large
I bought this shirt earlier and got an XL. It came and it fit perfectly. Couldn't believe it, but then I wondered what it would look like after one washing. It shrank. Not so bad that I couldn't wear it, but it no longer looked "perfect" and I I don't dare put on 5 pounds. But I liked the shirt overall, so I went back and ordered another, this time an XXL. It came, I tried it on and while it worked, it was slightly larger than I wanted. Instead of returning it, I washed it, and like the first, it shrunk, but it shrunk to a size that looked good and was comfortable. Lesson: you might want to go one size larger than you would ordinarily get, wear it to see how it fits, and if it seems too large, wash it and see if it makes a difference. The first shirt I would give 4 stars because shrinkage took away from it, but I'd give the second 5 stars because even more so after washing, the fit was very nice.
