The AXIS T6112 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface brings powerful audio and input/output expansion to your Axis camera network with PortCast technology. By transferring audio and digital I/O over the same network cable that connects your camera, this interface unlocks seamless microphone integration, intercom capabilities, and event-driven I/O signaling without adding clutter to your installation. The Mk II version enhances deployment flexibility, simplifies management, and broadens compatibility within the Axis ecosystem, making it a smart upgrade for any professional surveillance deployment seeking richer situational awareness and automation.

  • Seamless PortCast audio and I/O over the network: The T6112 Mk II transports microphone signals and digital I/O data through the same Ethernet path used by your camera, enabling high-quality audio communication and reliable event signaling with minimal cabling and setup effort.
  • Effortless camera integration: Designed for plug‑and‑play compatibility with Axis cameras, the interface is engineered to simplify deployment in existing networks and streamline configuration through Axis software, reducing installation time and potential points of failure.
  • Flexible audio and I/O capabilities: Attach a microphone or other audio sources, plus digital inputs and outputs for sensors, relays, door sensors, alarms, and automation devices. This opens up new possibilities for two-way communication, environmental monitoring, and integrated alarm workflows.
  • Robust, latency-aware performance: Built to support real-time audio and precise I/O signaling, the T6112 Mk II maintains dependable performance in demanding surveillance environments, with consistent data transfer that complements video analytics and remote monitoring.
  • Ideal for enhanced surveillance use cases: Perfect for retail, office, education, and industrial settings where intercoms, remote talk, or synchronized I/O actions with camera events improve response times and operational efficiency.

Technical Details of AXIS T6112 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface

  • PortCast technology enables the digital transport of audio and I/O over the Ethernet network cable between the Axis camera and the T6112 Mk II interface.
  • Audio input and output provide microphone connectivity and an interface for playback or intercom-style audio delivery in conjunction with compatible Axis cameras.
  • Digital I/O capabilities offer configurable inputs and outputs for monitoring sensors, triggering relays, and coordinating with access control or alarm systems.
  • Compatibility with Axis camera models that support PortCast and integrate with Axis management software for unified control and configuration.
  • Flexible power and connectivity options are designed to fit typical network deployments; verify power requirements with your camera and network infrastructure for a reliable installation.
  • Physical design supports professional mounting and cable management to maintain a clean, scalable surveillance installation.

How to install AXIS T6112 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface

  • Plan your deployment by identifying a suitable location near the Axis camera and within reach of the audio devices and I/O peripherals you intend to connect.
  • Mount the T6112 Mk II securely using standard mounting hardware, ensuring access to the rear I/O ports and network connection.
  • Connect the camera to the T6112 Mk II via the network cable, and connect your microphone or other audio devices to the designated audio input/output ports.
  • Attach digital I/O devices (sensors, relays, door detectors, alarm panels) to the interface’s I/O terminals, following the wiring diagram in the product manual.
  • Power the unit in accordance with your deployment plan—use PoE from a compatible switch or provide a local power source as recommended by Axis guidelines and the installation manual.
  • Configure the audio channels and I/O routing in Axis management software (e.g., Axis Camera Station, Axis Secure Remote Access, or other Axis software). Set up event triggers, intercom behavior, and privacy or microphone permissions as required.
  • Test the system end-to-end: verify audio transmission between the camera and the interface, confirm I/O triggers respond to sensor events, and check that remote clients can hear and respond via two-way audio if needed.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is PortCast and why is it useful with the AXIS T6112 Mk II? PortCast is Axis technology that enables digital audio and I/O data to travel over the same network cable that connects Axis cameras, reducing cabling complexity and enabling synchronized audio and I/O workflows alongside video.
  • Which Axis cameras work with the T6112 Mk II? The interface is designed to work with Axis cameras that support PortCast and are managed within Axis software. For exact model compatibility, consult Axis product documentation or your Axis partner.
  • Do I need a dedicated power supply for the T6112 Mk II? Power requirements depend on your deployment. Many setups can leverage PoE from a compatible network switch or camera, while some configurations may require a local power source in accordance with the installation manual.
  • Can I use two-way audio with this interface? Yes. The microphone input on the T6112 Mk II enables real-time audio communication when paired with compatible Axis cameras and software, supporting intercom and live commentary scenarios.
  • What kinds of I/O signals can I connect? The digital I/O on the T6112 Mk II supports sensors, relays, door sensors, alarms, and other automation devices, enabling event-driven responses and integration with broader security and building management systems.
  • How do I configure audio and I/O in Axis software? Use the Axis management tools to map audio channels, route I/O signals, configure event triggers, and manage permissions. Refer to the official user guide for step-by-step instructions tailored to your software version.

Cute, comfortable waterproof boots (a little snug to put on)
Size: 7, Color: Velvet Tan/Gum 2
These are really cute Chelsea-style boots and feel very comfortable once they’re on. The waterproof material is great for wet weather and the sole feels sturdy with good traction. They look stylish enough to wear casually but still feel practical for rainy days. The only downside is they can be a little difficult to put on at first because the opening is somewhat snug, but once they’re on they fit well and feel supportive. Overall they’re a great waterproof boot and I’ve enjoyed wearing them.

Surprisingly great for my wide feet and high instep!
Size: 10.5, Color: Velvet Tan/Gum 2
So thrilled I took a chance on these. Finding boots is impossible for me. I have wide feet, a super high instep, a bunion on one foot, and I wear a hard to find size (10.5). I ordered the 10.5 and 11 in these expecting I might need to size up for width (if I could even get them on). It was a struggle getting the 10.5s on the first time, and once I did they were somewhat uncomfortable on the top of my left foot. But I read that they would relax so decided to give it a go because I need waterproof boots for an upcoming trip and the 11s felt too long. After two days of light wear, they are already breaking in and I have no more discomfort. Getting them on is already easier and they are plenty wide enough and very comfortable to walk in. These are true to size. Super happy and worth a day of mild discomfort to break them in!

Comfortable, sturdy, waterproof
Size: 9.5, Color: Black/Black
Loce, love, love these boots. Have walked ten miles with no foot pain around NYC. They go with everything and and are so comfortable. As they are waterproof/resistant, they get a little warm in high temps, but perfect three-season boots.

Super cute, comfortable, practical, love that they are slip on
Size: 10.5, Color: Tobacco/Black
I have worn these 2-3 times already. The first day was a school/work day so I was on my feet 9 hours and the only issue I had was with the side of the boot rubbing against my ankle. I just make sure I wear socks high enough to cover my ankles or jeans that go into the boots now for long wear days. Absolutely love them! They keep my feet dry in this snow( we live in Michigan). I had been looking for a pair like this for awhile now and was getting super frustrated that I couldn't find my size in any that I liked. I saw that they had these available in a 10.5 and I wear 11. I looked at the Sorel website reviews (since the amazon ones weren't super helpful on sizing) and they said that the boots ran big so I took a chance on the 10.5 fitting me. They fit perfect. I have long narrow feet but I could see where they would be tight or uncomfortable on someone with wider feet. I've been trying to find a pair for my mom now since she has boot envy.
