White noise is the most common sound you'll hear about but there are different frequencies of sound that can be healing to the body. While the SNOOZ machine is labeled "white noise", the website notes that their decibels for their sound ranges from 46 - 87 dBA. 

Think of sound as different colors of the rainbow from a higher pitched noise to a lower bass type sound. This affects our body differently which can also affect our sleep.
