The Quiet Tone Classic practice pads have long been the go-to option for teachers and players seeking a practice tool that closely replicates a real drum without the high volume. Over the four decades that Quiet Tone pads have been on the market, there have been many versions; this new one is the best yet!
With the 2024 iteration of the Quiet Tone Classic, we have returned to our original design, having the 4-leg system that transmits vibrations to a snare drum to deliver that motivating snare tone while retaining a low volume. We have also been upgrading the internal workings of the pad to deliver a more even response. We call this ‘Real Response,’ and it gets the pad closer to the bounce and feel of a real drum and delivers that more evenly across the pad.
The prior version of Quiet Tone Classic moved away from the 4-leg system, and the feedback we heard from you, teachers, and percussionists, was clear that this was not a welcomed change. With Quiet Tone, our goal has always been to chase the best practice pad product for players, which is why we are making this change now.
We are excited about this next chapter for Quiet Tone and to work with you to bring the new and improved Quiet Tone Classic to market. This new version is available in 10” and 14” and carries a new model number, which is QT-10SDCL and QT-14SDCL. Please update your system with the new model, new images, and new descriptions as we work together to launch this next chapter for Quiet Tone.
