Usually, you only need a standard screwdriver to fasten the brackets, which are included in the package. No special tools or calibration are required. The design allows quick bracket swaps, letting you move smoothly between projects and maintain precise alignment on your embroidery machine hoops.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or 'floated' outside of it?
With the MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame, either method can be effective. For most garments or flat items, sandwiching the stabilizer and fabric between the top and bottom hoop gives excellent results. For bulky or hard-to-hoop fabrics like hoodies or bags, floating the stabilizer underneath the lower frame helps prevent hoop marks while maintaining strong hold during stitching on Alfa machines.
Will my embroidery machine automatically recognize this frame's size, or do I need to set it manually?
Since the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop is an accessory designed for versatile use, most Alfa machines will not automatically detect its size. You’ll need to enter the 8.5″ × 9″ (215 × 230 mm) hoop area manually in your embroidery software and confirm your design fits within that field.
