The Transition Networks SFP (mini-GBIC) Module is a compact, hot-swappable fiber optic transceiver designed to deliver reliable 1 Gbps Ethernet connectivity across data centers, enterprise networks, and campus environments. Built to standard SFP specifications, this module provides flexible uplink options, supports multiple fiber types and wavelengths, and complements a wide range of switches and routers. While it offers broad compatibility, administrators should be mindful of vendor-specific policies on third-party SFPs. Note: Per Cisco Systems literature, Cisco switches with SFP slots may block non-Cisco SFPs, identifying the manufacturer and part number to control access on that port. Other major SFP switch manufacturers have varying compatibility policies, so always verify support for your exact hardware and firmware before deployment.

  • Versatile SFP (mini-GBIC) form factor with a hot-swappable design that minimizes downtime during upgrades or maintenance. This module integrates seamlessly into any standard SFP port, allowing you to upgrade or expand uplink capabilities without replacing existing networking gear. Its compact size helps maximize port density in crowded racks and telecommunication cabinets.
  • Supports the 1000BASE-X family across MMF and SMF networks, with wavelength options that depend on the specific SKU (for example, 850 nm SX, 1310 nm LX, 1550 nm ZX). This enables flexible fiber deployments—from short-reach campus links to long-haul backbone connections—while maintaining compatibility with existing fiber infrastructures. Choose the model that matches your fiber type, distance, and optical budget for optimal performance.
  • Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) capability provides real-time insight into optical power, temperature, and transceiver health. With DOM, network administrators can proactively monitor link quality, quickly identify performance degradation, and schedule maintenance before failures impact user traffic. This level of visibility supports steady service levels and reduces mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Low power consumption and robust reliability are built into a design tuned for continuous operation in data centers and field deployments. The module adheres to rigorous reliability standards and thermal performance criteria, helping to maintain link stability under varying loads and ambient conditions. Its durability makes it suitable for dense racks, high-density deployments, and locations with limited cooling.
  • Important compatibility note for network planners: Cisco switches with SFP slots may restrict or block non-Cisco SFPs on certain models or firmware revisions. To prevent surprises during deployment, confirm compatibility with your specific switch model and software version. For non-Cisco environments, many major vendors support a broad range of third-party SFPs, but always validate with your device vendor and test in a controlled environment before production use.

how to install Transition Networks SFP (mini-GBIC) Module

  • Power down the device or prepare for a hot-swap if your equipment manufacturer supports non-disruptive upgrades. Insert the SFP module into an available SFP port until it seats with a gentle click, ensuring proper alignment with the port.
  • Verify port compatibility for third-party SFPs on your specific device model and firmware. If you are using a Cisco switch, be aware of potential restrictions on non-Cisco SFPs as noted earlier; consult your vendor documentation or network engineer for guidance.
  • Attach the correct fiber optic cable to the LC duplex connector, ensuring the transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) orientations are correct. Use LC-to-LC cables with matching fiber type (MMF or SMF) and perform a safe fiber installation to avoid bending or contamination.
  • Power up the device (if powered down) and access the network management interface. Check the port status to confirm that the SFP is recognized and that the link is up. If available, review DOM metrics to verify optical power and operating temperature are within expected ranges.
  • Test network connectivity and performance by transmitting traffic across the link. If issues arise, reseat the module, re-check fiber connections, or test with an alternative SFP module or port to isolate the fault. Document the test results and monitor the link for stability over time.

Cup holder friendly AND functional!
Color: Denim, Size: 24 Ounces, Color: Denim, Size: 24 Ounces
I have a dupe of this cup in a 32oz version and I’m in love with it except for one thing, it doesn’t fit in the cup holders of my vehicles very well. For Father’s Day, my husband needed an insulated cup for when he works outside, his current one doesn’t fit in a cup holder. This was a perfect option for him since he likes the one I have. First things first: this thing keeps liquids COLD for a VERY long time. Haven’t put anything hot into it and don’t plan to so I cannot attest to that. It’s lightweight, durable, and the versatility with the straw is really what makes this cup stand out. You can use a straw OR take a sip without changing adaptors or adding a straw. The straw is basically built into the spout. It’s leakproof which I greatly appreciate. With this being on sale I jumped on it. These are such nice cups, and I can confirm they fit the cup holders of my vehicles from my 22 RAV4 to my 05 Corolla. This is a definite buy and I really hope my husband gets me one since my dupe doesn’t fit in my cup holders. As for the 24oz of this cup, it fits. The colors are fun. It’s unique, and extremely functional.

Versatile water bottle_ great ice cold retention
Color: Strawberry Fields, Size: 24 Ounces, Color: Strawberry Fields, Size: 24 Ounces
There are a lot of stainless steel bottles out there but the quality of Owala stands out by far. Starting with the both drink options of sip or chug, mega cute color combinations, ergonomic grip, cold retention is great and different size to fit everyone of your family's thirst. Easy to carry it with its handle. It's almost a month that I've been using it and no spills on my backpack. Defo buying more on the future, just to change the color with the Seasons. Rubber Boot is not included but make sure to add it to your cart...is soooo worth it!

Headline: Finally, a Water Bottle That Lives Up to the Hype!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"I’ve tried almost every popular water bottle brand out there, and the Owala FreeSip is genuinely in a league of its own. The 2-in-1 spout is a game-changer—I love being able to sip upright through the straw or tilt it back to chug. It makes drinking water so much easier. It’s completely leakproof when locked, which I’ve tested in my gym bag multiple times. Plus, the cover keeps the mouthpiece sanitary. It keeps my water ice-cold for over 24 hours, even sitting in a hot car. And let's talk about the colors—they are so fun and vibrant. I got the 24oz, and it fits perfectly in my cup holder. If you’re on the fence, just buy it!"

Great Water Bottle but failed after one year.
Color: Foggy Tide, Size: 32 Ounces
I purchased this Owala water bottle a little over a year ago and it was in my top favorites. The flip-up lid is a great feature, and I like that you can use it with or without the straw. It’s completely leak-proof, comfortable to carry, and has held up well with daily use. My only complaint had been that it doesn’t fit in most standard cup holders. But after about a year, I did notice that it stopped keeping my water cold as long as it used to, and the ice began melting much faster. I reached out to Owala customer service but unfortunately never received a response. Even with that issue, I still prefer the lid design over brands like Yeti or RTIC, so I would consider purchasing another Owala in the future. If you value a convenient, leak-proof lid design, it’s definitely worth considering. I just sincerely hope the insulation lasts longer on the next one.
