This model may resemble the Super Easy from Top Model, but we were surprised that it is very much a different animal. A smaller thinner fiberglass fuselage and sleeker MH32MOD airfoil set her apart. With a nice 1.6 span, she is ready to rip.
Slash is small pure glider for sports flying. This airplane is especially designed for pilots who are looking for multipurpose fast sailplane. Strong enough for fast dives, but still light enough for thermal soaring. Slash has been re-designed for better flying characteristics with new classic balsa, built-up, D-box, rib/main spare wing design. Also included are the fiberglass gel-coated fuselage and balsa built-up tail parts. The synergy of low weight and strong structure is very unusual in a production sailplane and can only be achieved with careful attention to design and construction.
Model construction: the fuselage is light but durable fiberglass with carbon reinforcements. The all-balsa elevator screws directly to the t-tail. The built up rudder is is light but strong. We have included photos of the uncovered model so you can appreciate the wonderful structures under the Oracover film. (Model is fully covered.) A shame to cover up such a nice wood structure.
