Is the abbreviation for Doppelfernrohr (double telescope), with 10 x 80 indicating the magnification power of the optics. The German wartime three letter code cro stands for R. Fuess Optische Industrie in Berlin, known for their excellent optics and rarity. It is interesting that the faded red colored X indicates the type of lubricant used on this set.  ***Extra shipping may be required for this example, as it weighs 14lbs.
