After many years ageing in the unique and ancient Crayères acquired by its founder Charles Heidsieck, Brut Millésime reveals itself as a champagne poised between elegance and complexity, with a smooth texture and great length on the palate. Charles Heidsieck Brut Millésimé 2008 is a blend of ten Grands Crus and Premiers Crus meticulously selected by the House, expressing magnificent minerality, intensity and acidity. This exceptional cuvée was aged for ten years in Gallo-Roman Crayères. True to the Charles Heidsieck style, Millésimé 2008 already displays all the elegance and power of an outstanding vintage, qualities which will only be enhanced with time.
The Charles Heidsieck Vintage 2008 is unctuous, gourmet, powerful: a great vintage! 2008 offers us powerful and robust pinots (60% of the composition) and Chardonnays chiseled and a great freshness (40%).
This champagne from Premiers and Grands Crus reveals very fine bubbles. The nose is complex with notes of hazelnut and candied citrus. The palate is tense and offers us then a more generous and fuller texture. It has a nice length in the mouth and a beautiful aromatic richness. We will find in the end, caramel mixed with citrus.
After more than ten years of aging, we discover an outstanding and rare champagne with a great aging potential. Drink now or keep in your cellar for later.

"The 2008 Brut Millésimé from Charles Hedsieck continues to perform superbly, opening in the glass with a youthfully reserved bouquet of pear, yellow apple, citrus oil, honeycomb, dried white flowers and warm biscuits. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and incisive, with a racy spine of acidity, a pinpoint mousse, excellent concentration and a long, elegantly chalky finish. This 2008 is still several years from showing all its cards, but it is a brilliant Champagne in the making."
