In 2012 werd door de Europese Commissie bepaald dat drie gezondheidsclaims voor choline wetenschappelijk bewezen geacht mogen worden. Er werd vastgesteld dat het belangrijk is voor een normaal lipidenmetabolisme, een normaal homocysteïnemetabolisme en een goed functionerende lever. En in 2016 oordeelde de European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) dat choline een essentiële voedingsstof is, die het lichaam zelf niet voldoende aanmaakt en voor een groot deel uit de voeding gehaald moet worden. De adequate inname werd in Europa vastgesteld op 400 mg/dag voor volwassenen, gebaseerd op de gemiddelde inname in Europese landen. Voor vrouwen die zwanger zijn wordt 480 mg/dag geadviseerd en voor vrouwen die borstvoeding geven zelfs 520 mg per dag. In 2016 werd ook in Amerika voor het eerst een adequate inname vastgesteld. Deze is echter gebaseerd op klinisch onderzoek specifiek bedoeld om de dagelijkse behoefte vast te stellen (voldoende voor een gezonde lever), en kwam uit op 550 mg/dag. De gemiddelde inname van volwassenen in Europa schommelt tussen de 291 en 468 mg/dag.
Synergie
Choline heeft belangrijke samenwerkingen met vitamine B6, B12, folaat en SAMe. Bovendien wordt fosfatidylcholine dat aangemaakt wordt via de SAMe-afhankelijke metabole route verrijkt met DHA, en vormt zo fosfatidylcholine-DHA. Choline en DHA hebben een synergetische interactie met elkaar.

Honestly for the price there hard to beat. They look nice and are comfortable indeed, I like the silent step "non clackers" . For the size I'll recommend your normal size as they have a built in stretch part for extra comfort unless you know you have wide feet then go for the W, my 8 1/2 (non wide) fit perfectly without an issue. I'm just surprised that they came not in a box, there wrapped up well though didn't come damaged. For fancy shoes that don't come in a box there pretty good. 👍

The perfect work shoe

I wear dress shoes everyday and I’m on my feet a lot. My wife is the same way and would always praise Clarks, but I didn’t think much of it. I’d always get Nunn Bush or something like that, but they weren’t comfortable or last very long. I happened to be at a Clarks store that was closing one time and picked up a pair of these and boy did everything change that day. Not only are they comfortable they last a long time. I get about one pair a year. That doesn’t mean they only last a year, I just try to keep a nice looking pair. I can wear them all day and my feet don’t hurt. And you get all the comfort without the bulkiness of other comfort footwear companies. They fit nice and don’t pinch or rub anywhere. They are definitely worth the full price, but they go on sale regularly to an even better deal so keep an eye out.
