W83247 / X70105 Universal Pool Cleaner Hose Weight

Key Features

  • Precision Buoyancy Control: Engineered to provide the exact amount of counter-weight needed to keep suction-side cleaners flat on the pool floor, preventing "porpoising" or the cleaner lifting off the surface during operation.
  • Universal Snap-On Design: Features a flexible, high-tension clip mechanism that fits securely onto standard 1-1/2 inch (38mm) pool cleaner hoses from multiple manufacturers without the need for tools.
  • Lead-Filled Stability: The internal weighted core is completely encased in a durable plastic shell, providing concentrated weight to balance the cleaner's head and ensure deep-cleaning coverage in corners and inclines.
  • UV & Chemical Resistant: Constructed from high-impact polymer designed to withstand the degrading effects of direct sunlight and high-sanitizer pool environments, preventing the weight from becoming brittle or cracking.
  • Anti-Tangle Performance: By properly weighting the first and second hose sections, these weights help maintain the correct hose "arch," significantly reducing the frequency of hose tangling and knots.

Compatibility & Fitment

This hose weight is designed to be a universal solution for the most popular suction-side pool cleaners on the market. Key compatible models include:

  • Zodiac / Baracuda: Fits MX8, MX8 Elite, MX6, MX6 Elite, G3, G4, and Alpha 2/3 models.
  • Hayward: Compatible with Navigator, Navigator Pro, Pool Vac Ultra, Pool Vac XL, and Goby series.
  • Pentair: Direct fit for Kreepy Krauly, Great White, Dorado, and Warrior suction cleaners.
  • Note: Most manufacturers recommend placing the first weight approximately 1 to 3 feet from the cleaner head to ensure the unit stays submerged and balanced.

When to Replace

  • Cleaner Lifting Off Floor: If the cleaner frequently "stands up" or floats toward the surface, your existing weights may have shifted or been lost.
  • Broken Retaining Clips: If the weight no longer snaps tightly onto the hose and slides around, the plastic tension tabs have failed.
  • Visible Leaking or Cracking: If the outer plastic shell is cracked, the internal lead can be exposed to pool water or fall out, posing a safety risk.
  • Inefficient Cleaning Path: If the cleaner is spinning in circles or skipping large sections of the pool, it often indicates an imbalance in hose buoyancy.

Installation Tips

  • Proper Placement: PRO TIP: For most Zodiac and Hayward cleaners, place the first weight on the first hose section (the one connected to the cleaner). For Pentair Kreepy Krauly models, the weight is often placed slightly further back on the second section.
  • The "Snap" Test: Ensure the weight "clicks" firmly into place. If the hose is slippery, wipe the area with a dry cloth before clipping the weight on to prevent it from sliding during the pump cycle.
  • Fine-Tuning: If the cleaner's "nose" is digging into the floor too hard, move the weight further away from the cleaner. If the tail is lifting, move the weight closer to the cleaner head.
  • Check for Hose Memory: If your hoses have a "set" curve from being stored in a coil, use these weights to force the hose into a more natural arch for better mobility.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
