Edge-grain butcher blocks are constructed using wood strips that run the full length of the block, providing a look of clean continuity. I love the watch design, but the watch itself is a complete lemon. I have bought this watch three separate times and it still does not work properly. The first time, the hour and minute hand swung freely in the watch. I returned it directly to Timex. The second time, I bought from Amazon thinking the first watch had defect and the return policy with Amazon is less cumbersome than Timex. Right out of the box, I set the date/time and played around with the features of the watch that I most commonly use, most the chrono function. When I press start on the chrono function, the watch completely blacks out and resets itself somehow, meaning I have to set the date/time again. I sent the watch back to Amazon for a replacement. When the new watch arrived...same issue...the watch resets itself every time I start the chrono function. Very disappointing. Come on, Timex. You are better than this.
