1960年代スフィンクスのエナメルイヤリング。マロンブラウンの地色にゴールデンイエロー、ブラウンレッド、ブルー、スカイブルー、グリーン・・と様々な色が水彩画のように描かれ、心惹かれるシックな美しさを生んでいます。エナメルの艶がその絶妙な色彩を際立たせる、洗練された一品。何年経っても愛用したいタイムレスな魅力があります。和装にもおすすめ。
【SPHINX(スフィンクス)とは】
1948年にイギリスで創業したジュエリーカンパニー。まるで本物のジュエリーに見える、高品質で美しいデザインのコスチュームジュエリーを制作していました。自社製品の他にもKenneth Jay Lane、Nina Ricciなどのデザイナーや、ヨーロッパやアメリカの高級デパート向けにジュエリーデザインを手掛けていました。
刻印には"SPHINX"とシリアルナンバー、またはどちらか一方が刻まれましたが、需要を満たすために刻印をせず、急いで出荷していた時期も。会社は1990年代後半に閉業しました。
