Artist Biography

Justin “Iggy” Ronberg is a distinguished Aboriginal artist whose work celebrates a profound and enduring connection to Country. Raised across the Northern Territory and Central Desert regions, Justin’s early life was deeply influenced by family, culture and the captivating rhythms of the didgeridoo — a sound that continues to guide his creative expression today.

Encouraged from a young age to develop his artistic talents, Justin learned traditional techniques and the cultural meaning embedded within Aboriginal art. His painting style is characterised by warm, earthy tones and dynamic mark-making that reflect the sounds, landscapes and stories of his homeland. Each composition carries a vivid sense of place — the ochre sands, the vast desert skies, and the native wildlife that sustain and protect his people.

Justin is also an acclaimed didgeridoo performer and instructor, recognised nationally and internationally. His artworks and musical talents have featured in exhibitions, cultural festivals and tours throughout Australia, Europe and the United States. Highly collected and admired, Justin’s work serves as both a celebration of identity and an affirmation of his commitment to sharing, preserving and honouring Aboriginal culture.

About the Artwork — Bush Tucker Story

This artwork centres on the Perente Goanna, a powerful totemic spirit in the cultures of the Central and Western Deserts. The Goanna Dreaming is painted to pay respect to ancestral beings who shaped the land and its survival resources.

Justin depicts his Country during sunset after rainfall, a moment when life awakens throughout the desert — fresh grasses emerge and wildflowers bloom in vibrant colour beneath a glowing sky.

Throughout the composition, each animal and symbol holds deep significance:

Element Meaning
Perente Goanna Totemic ancestor and highly valued bush tucker
Kangaroo A primary food source and an essential part of cultural survival
Emu Symbol of good fortune and abundance
Snake Guardian and creator spirit of the land
Spinifex “Starbursts” Resilient desert grass sustaining ecosystems
Roundels (circles) Wildflowers and gatherings tied to seasonal change

Together, these motifs represent the interconnectedness of culture, Country and community. The artwork honours the land’s ability to provide — a reminder of ancestral teachings that emphasise respect, gratitude and sustainable living with nature.

Great well made lite weight shoes
Size: 13, Color: Black/Ivory
Beautiful men’s shoes and half the price of the exact same shoes in Macys. I love this brand because they are so lite and comfortable. My son is fussy and does not like wearing dress shoes but these are so well made and lite weight there are no issues. The soles are made well with good grip and the size runs true to size (we ordered a 13). Very easy to walk in for long periods of time. Highly recomended.
