Medium gauge DM 8004 Blackhawk Series Coated Electric Guitar Strings from Dean Markley are made with high-carbon, nickel-plated steel, which offers strength and pitch stability, as well as a rich and resonant tone. The wound strings feature a hexagonal steel core wire topped with an outer wrap made of nickel-plated steel. A proprietary micro-thin coating is applied to preserve the string's natural tone and prevent corrosion, extending the string's life up to four times longer than uncoated strings. This set includes gauges ranging from .011 to .052.
