Infused with technology from SSL's SiX console, the Solid State Logic SiX CH is a single-channel 500 Series channel strip that offers a premium gain stage, 2-band EQ, and a single-knob compressor for musicians and engineers at any level. Given its sonic versatility and modular form factor, the SiX CH is a stellar addition to home studio setups, mobile recording rigs, and racks in commercial facilities.

With up to +72 dB of gain available on the mic preamp, the SiX CH delivers bountiful boost for low-output ribbon and dynamic mics or even the quietest of sources. Of course, switchable 48V phantom power is provided for condenser mics. You can also keep the low-end power under control by activating the 75 Hz high-pass filter, which features a 12 dB/octave slope. Each band of the equalizer can be set to shelf or bell mode; different center frequencies are used for each mode to increase flexibility. The compressor utilizes variable threshold and automatic makeup gain to enable fast operation and consistent output level.

Simple and Effective

SiX CH is a single-width 500 Series channel strip using the SuperAnalogue channel processing features from SSL's SiX console including the mic pre, low- and high-frequency EQ, and the single-knob compressor.

SuperAnalogue

Using the same technology as SiX and large-format SSL consoles, SiX CH features a SuperAnalogue mic pre, offering wide gain range and ultralow noise. It's clean, fast, and punchy, an ideal preamplifier for any source material.

SSL HF and LF EQ

SiX CH EQ is a classic SSL-style EQ with a gentle, broad-stroke design and high and low shelving filters at 3.5 kHz and 60 Hz (±15 dB gain range). Each band can be independently switched between shelving and bell curves. The bell curves change the center frequencies to operate at 5 kHz and 200 Hz, giving greater versatility from the two controls.

Channel Compressor

A one-knob channel compressor has features that give powerful and versatile performance from its deceptively simple controls. It uses the tried-and-tested SSL feed-forward circuit design, program-dependent attack time, and automatic make-up gain to maintain signal level.

TRS Line Input

The front-facing TRS line input offers a convenient way to add instruments on the fly or use SiX CH as a feature-packed summing module. A 10-kilohm nominal line input impedance can be changed to 1 megohm via the Hi-Z switch. The 1-megohm impedance makes this input suitable for very high-impedance sources such as passive guitar pickups without the need for an external DI box.

I'm finding that menopause skin is very, very dry skin. Combine that with a harsh winter and my skin was in much worst shape than normal. I usually had noticeably dry skin on my legs & arms but winter made it itchy & more flakey. I started using the Eucerin calming formula but that did nothing for the dryness but did moderately help lessen the itching. I got online to see what I could do for the flaking skin, add moisture and curb the itching without having to go to a dermatologist because I didn't think I had a major issue. My reading recommended alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) formula moisturizers and from reading amlactin was very popular and received high marks but I wanted to look at & try a couple of things before I committed to just one as it's likely this will become part of my regular skin care and I'd need an affordable option. I discovered the Eucerin AHA formula on Amazon, liked the reviews & decided why not try it. The price point was very good compared to amlactin. I received the Eucerin 12/14/2017 and have used it religiously twice a day. The flakiness subsided in a week and the itch only occurs on my back where I can't reach to apply it. This stuff has been wonderful to apply to my skin. My skin is no longer flaky or ashy & the rough patches are gone from my knees & elbows. This stuff is very heavy but it doesn't feel greasy to me because my skin soaks uses it in pretty quickly. I am not sure if I could use this in a hot, humid summer but for the current -20+ wind chills I'm living through, that heaviness is working in my favor. If you don't want to apply a heavy thick lotion to your skin or if that type of formula could cause a breakout, this isn't the moisturizer for you. It doesn't really have a smell to me. Once I apply it I only smell the scent of my bee & flower sandalwood soap. This lotion is not scented so that's a plus for me. Also unlike amlactin it does not contain parabens. I did order the amlactin and will try it after this is gone but it's likely I will continue with the Eucerin AHA formula. It has worked very well for me. I've not done price shopping for this locally so I can't add anything in terms of costs on Amazon versus brick&mortar. But if you can handle its heaviness I'd definitely recommend it.
