Sure, the Lingo 4 will help you get more information out of your records for a pretty reasonable cost but we think, for many people, there may be an even more compelling reason to upgrade.

These days there are lots of albums being remastered and released as 45 RPM records which sound considerably better when done right. The basic LP12 Majik turntable plays both 33⅓ and 45 RPM records but in order to play 45s you have to remove the platter, remove the belt, put the 45 RPM adaptor on the motor spindle, reattach the belt and put the platter back on. Now if you only have to do this once a listening session then ok, but what if the next record you reach for is 33⅓ and the one after that is 45? You can see where we're going with this. If you have a collection of albums that includes quite a few 45s then this will get very tiresome very quickly.
